The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) invites applications from promising young researchers (in the position of Senior Research Associate) who are keen to pursue an intellectually challenging career in development research. The candidate will have a strong interest to sharpen analytical skills, and benefit from policy exposure, in a broad range of areas including macroeconomics, international economics and global agendas for development with special focus on aid effectiveness. The applicant should be highly motivated and committed and must be capable of displaying learning ability and a capacity to work effectively as a team player.
Candidates need to have a Post graduate/Masters degree in Economics and Development Studies from a reputed university. A minimum CGPA of 3.60 is required which can be relaxed in case of candidates with foreign Masters degree, publication(s) in journals. Additionally, candidates for this position will be required to have at least two (2) years of relevant research experience at recognised institutions. The candidate must have good analytical ability, excellent drafting skill in English, strong communication skill and high computer literacy.
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the specific responsibility of contributing to CPD's ongoing research programmes including a global study on "New Approaches to Measuring Results and Impact of International Development Finance".
A gross salary starting from Taka 55 thousand per month will be offered to successful candidates along with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be based on assessment of the candidate's qualifications and suitability including experience.
